Santa Cruz County: Planning Commission throws cold water on campground ordinance
The new ordinance aims to offer a more streamlined permitting process for low-impact campgrounds in order to broaden the landscape of available camp areas, encourage land preservation and stewardship while collecting a transient occupancy tax, which the county currently gets very little of compared to neighboring city jurisdictions.
